Frequently Asked Questions

If playing in the Premier or Major, a FIDE ID is a requirement for registration to be accepted. If you are an Australian Citizen or Permanent Resident, one will be issued to you post event. If this is not you, you MUST get a FIDE ID from your home National Chess Federation.

Unrated players can only win the unrated or lowest rating group prize in the Minor.

If players withdraw with more than 7 days notice, a full refund will be issued. Within 7 days of their division starting, a 75% refund will be issued. Players who are paired for the event, whether they show up or not, will not receive any refund.
